Recorded August 2026Relatable changes fast — what you see in the app may be a little ahead of this video. The written steps below stay current.

Connect your Google or Microsoft account and Relatable keeps your contacts and calendar in sync automatically, without you doing anything after the first step.

Why it matters

The people you actually stay in touch with mostly live in your inbox and your calendar already. Connecting them means Relatable can see who you're really talking to and when you're meeting them, instead of you re-entering everything by hand. Less setup, more of the relationship picture filled in for you.

How it works

When you connect a Google or Microsoft account, Relatable syncs your inbox and sent history, pulls in the people you correspond with as contacts, and connects your calendar so meetings attach to the right person automatically. From then on it stays current on its own — new emails and meetings show up on the right contact without you doing anything.

How to use it

  1. On the web: go to Account settings → Accounts and choose to connect an email account.
  2. Sign in with your Google or Microsoft account and approve the permissions Relatable asks for.
  3. Relatable starts syncing your inbox, sent history, contacts, and calendar. This can take a little while the first time.
  4. Connect more than one account if you use separate addresses for work and personal — each shows up as its own connected account.
  5. If you send and receive mail from more than one address on the same account — support@, hello@, and the like — open that connected account from Account settings → Accounts and add those addresses as email aliases, so replies to any of them land on the right contact.

Good to know

  • You can connect more than one email account, and manage them all from the same place.
  • Each account supports up to 10 aliases, so a shared inbox like support@ or hello@ still attributes correctly to the right contact.
  • If a connection breaks — an expired login, a revoked permission — Relatable flags it so you know to reconnect.
  • Relatable sends up to 300 emails per user per day.
  • Disconnecting an account stops the sync going forward; it doesn't delete what's already come in.

Ask Whiz

  • "Who have I not emailed back in over a month?"
  • "What's the most recent thing Joey and I talked about over email?"
