Set up a team workspace

Invite teammates into a shared workspace so everyone sees the same contacts and knows who's on point.

Recorded August 2026Relatable changes fast — what you see in the app may be a little ahead of this video. The written steps below stay current.

A team turns your Relatable account into a shared workspace, where teammates see the same contacts, the same spheres, and know exactly who's talking to whom.

Why it matters

When a few people are working the same relationships, things get lost. You email someone, a teammate emails them the same week, and neither of you knows. A contact goes quiet because everyone assumed someone else was on it.

A team fixes that by giving everyone the same view of a contact and a clear answer to "who owns this relationship."

How it works

The person who starts the team invites teammates by email. Once someone accepts, they become a member: they can see any sphere or contact you've shared with the team, and you can assign specific contacts to specific people so it's clear who's on point. Team billing is available as an option, so the whole team can be covered by one invoice instead of billing each person separately.

How to use it

  1. On the web: click your avatar, go to Account settings → Teams.
  2. Start your team and invite your first teammate by email.
  3. Your teammate gets an invitation email. If they already have a Relatable account under that email, they can accept directly. If they're new, they sign up and are matched to your invitation automatically.
  4. Once they accept, they're a member: they see whatever spheres and contacts you've shared with the team, and you can assign them as the owner of specific contacts.
  5. To remove a teammate, open the team page and remove them from the member list.

Good to know

  • Team billing is an option — one invoice can cover the whole team instead of billing each person separately. See your plan details in Account settings for the specifics.
  • Sharing a contact or sphere with the team is a separate step from inviting someone — see Share contacts and see what your team is doing.
  • A team is different from delegated access: a team is a shared workspace where everyone sees the same contacts, delegated access is one person managing another person's individual account.
  • No passwords are ever shared to add someone to a team.
  • If you leave a team, your assignments and shares on that team are cleaned up automatically.
