Why it matters
Your email and calendar already hold the truest record of your relationships: who you write to, how often, and who you sit across from. Connecting them means Relatable doesn't start from zero. It starts from your actual history.
How it works
You sign in with your Google or Microsoft account, the same way you would for any app. Relatable pulls in your email history and then keeps watching your inbox and calendar going forward. Every email becomes a possible interaction, every meeting attaches to the right contact, and anyone you've emailed but haven't organized yet shows up as an uncategorized contact, waiting for you to decide if they belong in a sphere.
How to use it
- Onboarding offers a few ways to connect; Email & calendar is one of them. You can also connect or manage accounts any time from Account settings → Accounts.
- Sign in with your Google or Microsoft account and approve the permissions Relatable asks for.
- Relatable begins syncing your email and calendar in the background. For a long history, this can take a while.
Good to know
- Google and Microsoft accounts both connect the same way: email, contacts, and calendar together.
- Syncing keeps going after you connect. New email and new meetings keep flowing in, not just what's already happened.
- People you've emailed don't become full contacts automatically. They land as uncategorized contacts until you add them to a sphere.
- You can connect more than one account, useful if you keep work and personal email separate.
