Send one email to fifty people, personalized

Send one campaign where every recipient gets their own subject, body, and thread — not a bcc blast.

Recorded August 2026Relatable changes fast — what you see in the app may be a little ahead of this video. The written steps below stay current.

Write to fifty people at once, and each of them gets an email that looks and reads like you wrote it to them alone.

Why it matters

Reaching a whole sphere doesn't have to mean a form letter. A split message goes out as separate emails, one per recipient, each with its own subject and body, so a reply comes back to you privately instead of landing in a group thread everyone can see. The people you're reaching out to never know it was part of a batch.

This is the tool for the update that's personal but repeated: congratulating everyone in a sphere on a milestone, checking in with a group of past clients, following up with everyone from an event.

How it works

You choose a set of recipients, up to 300 of them in a single send, then write one message using a template with placeholders (or your own per-recipient wording). Relatable fans that out into individual emails, one per recipient, each with its own thread, its own open tracking, and its own status. Sending, scheduling, and reminders work exactly like an individual email, just multiplied across everyone on the list.

How to use it

  1. On the web: select contacts from the Database page, or start from a sphere, and choose to send a split message. You can include up to 300 recipients in one split message.2. Write your subject and body — use a saved template or {{ first_name }} style placeholders so each copy reads personal. Override any single recipient's message before sending if one needs something different.
  2. Choose whether to include each recipient's related contacts on their copy.
  3. Attach files. They go out with every copy.
  4. Send now, or schedule the whole batch for a specific date and time. You can edit or cancel it any time before it sends.
  5. After it's out, open the split message to see how many sent and how many opened, and drill into any single recipient's status.

Good to know

  • It's not a bcc blast: nobody sees the other recipients, and there's no shared thread to reply into.
  • A single split message tops out at 300 recipients — the same number as your daily send cap, so one big send can use the whole day's cap at once.
  • Split messages count toward that same 300-email daily cap as everything else you send.
  • Open tracking works per recipient, with the same accuracy limits as an individual email.
  • For a single designed broadcast with built-in unsubscribe handling, use Send a newsletter to a whole sphere instead.
