Why it matters
Typing a note while you're walking out of a meeting or between things is awkward, so it often just doesn't happen — and the detail you meant to capture is gone by the time you sit down. Talking is faster than typing, and it works in the moments typing doesn't.
How it works
In the Whiz chat on mobile, holding the mic icon starts recording; releasing it stops and uploads the audio. Relatable transcribes it and drops the text into the message box, already typed and ready for you to review, edit, or send. Nothing sends automatically off the transcription — it's just a faster way to fill the input.
How to use it
- In the mobile app, open Whiz — the default tab.
- Press and hold the mic icon in the input bar and speak.
- Release when you're done. A short status message plays while the audio uploads and transcribes.
- Check the transcribed text in the input box, fix anything that came through wrong, and send.
Good to know
- This only works in the mobile app — there's no equivalent voice input on the web.
- Speak names and specific details clearly and at a normal pace; clean audio with less background noise transcribes better.
- Read the transcript before sending. A quick edit catches anything that came through wrong, especially names.
- Anything you say becomes a normal text message to Whiz, so anything Whiz can do from typed text — log a meeting, add a note, set a reminder, draft a message — it can do from your voice.
